History

Each school has an emblem which describes the vision, mission, identity, personality and grandeur school. On December 2010 Principal of SMAN 15 Palembang who at the time chaired by Drs. H. Pujiono Rahayu, MM took the initiative to create a symbol that characterizes the identity of SMAN 15 Palembang. He delegated Mr. Ainul Fikri, S. Pd (English teacher) to design the emblem. And on December 19, 2010, Mr Ainul Fikri, S.Pd has managed to create the symbol of SMAN 15 Palembang as shown above. We feel proud as a citizen of SMAN 15 Palembang, then we ought to know and carry out the procedures / rules of using the emblem of SMAN 15 Palembang both inside and outside the school environment.

Description and Philosophy

South Sumatra roofs,

Sirah building that houses Palembang dark blue, depicts maturity and maturity of thought, liver shade and coolness soul with lotus flower ornaments totaling 15 pieces, characterizes the identity of SMAN 15 Palembang.

Ampera bridge,

Is the symbol of progress and characteristic of the city of Palembang was chosen because it has historical value and is the pride of South Sumatra with red color symbolizes the spirit and passion of high learning.

Chrysanthemum flowers,

On the emblem depicted a gold colored petals symbolize the majesty of SMAN 15 Palembang circular number 15 which is the school's identity.

Batang Hari Sembilan River,

With dark green, Batang Hari Sembilan River is another name for South Sumatra and a symbol of prosperity.

Book and Pen,

Symbolizes the educational activities. A source of knowledge that is continuously and endlessly (life long education). The flames 5 light yellow color red symbolizes the ideology of Pancasila.

Ribbon SMAN 15 Palembang,

Written with white letters over a blue base and flanked by two stars located in the bottom of the emblem is a scarf school identity, indicating SMA 15 Palembang as a warehouse sciences. The responsibility of every citizen of schools ranging from school principals, vice-principals, teachers, staff employees and students to understand, comprehend and practice what is contained in the school.

Meaning In Overall:

As the SMA 15 Palembang residents are required to be independent for the sake of a bright future, broad-minded, strong and educated spirit of Pancasila, unyielding in their studies, loyal, caring, responsible and serve the nation through the SMA 15 Palembang.

1. The blue color on the roof of the house (above), pen (middle) and ribbon (bottom), 
2. The white color in the middle, nib, school name and two stars (on tape), 
3. The red color in the section on the bridge and the outer ring (lotus) symbol 15 (middle),
